There were other incidents which take the total to more than 100 in just four months. In total, police dealt with 1,664 violent "knife-enabled" crimes - which range from murders to muggings where blades were brandished to threaten victims. Police have created "Operation Blunt Two" in an effort to crack down on the number of knife crimes.

This map is of the stabbing that took place in the United Kingdom in the month of September 2008. The majority of the stabbings occurred in the London area. A 16 year old boy outside Manchester and a 17 year old in Croydon were murdered early this morning. Addtionally, the Croydon stabbing was very close in proximity and time to another stabbing on July 21st.
