San Francisco Crime Maps

The maps below are two representations of crime in and around San Francisco's Mission District. SpotCrime has been gathering news reported crime in San Fran since Febuary of this year. We at Spotcrime are optimistic that the San Francisco Police Department will make their data fully public later this year. This map shows reported crime in the Mission District for the last two months (July 6th to September 6th). This map shows all the news reported shootings that SpotCrime has been able to gather since February of 2008 to September 6, 2008. This crime map was created by de-slecting all crimes but shootings and changing the beginning date range to January. Google's terrain view was used on the map.
