SpotCrime - The Public's Crime Map

SpotCrime is introducing the MyLocalCrime mobile application to the Google Play and iTunes app stores. The MyLocalCrime app puts crime information at the public’s fingertips by displaying nationwide crime data mapped to the block level and a nationwide most wanted database . It also includes a free crime tipping service for the public and police agencies. A cold case database will be added in early 2020. MyLocalCrime allows users to obtain detailed crime descriptions and seamlessly share crime-related information with others via text, email, and a number of social media platforms. The app includes a map with verified incident-based crime data down to the street level. Most wanted criminals are displayed in an area, based on the user’s location.  The data on MyLocalCrime is collected from more than 1,000 police agencies, including the 100 most populated cities in the U.S., and is frequently updated. We recently rolled out with a crime tip section of SpotCrime - Crimetip.us Submit your tip at Crimetip.us Why? It seems pretty logical to add a crime tip link next to crime  information .  With more people coming to SpotCrime than any other agency, it made sense to offer a crime tip service that was easy, fast, and anonymous.   And, well,  we thought crime tips needed a makeover. Crimetip.us is designed to work on a mobile device, your desktop, or laptop - without an app that you have to download. Just add a location, details about the tip including date, location, and time and any personal information you'd like to provide (or just stay anonymous). Once the 'Submit Tip' button is selected, a very unique URL will is created that is shared only with the proper authorities. There is a 'Submit a Tip' link on every state map page , city map page , and crime detail page of SpotCrime - thats over 20 million pages worth of crimes and maps! Our mission

SpotCrime has launched CrimeTip.us , an easy to use crime tip submission platform. Crime prevention can not be achieved by police departments alone. SpotCrime is run with the hopes that the easier it is for the public to view and share public crime information, the easier it is for communities to become informed and involved, and the easier it will be to lower the crime rate. Crime tips are also an important part in crime prevention. In an effort to make crime tips seamless, easy, and useful, SpotCrime has introduced it's own crime tip service for the public and law enforcement. The new SpotCrime crime tip feature is easily accessed through the SpotCrime website (via a crime detail page or a SpotCrime city map page) or by heading to CrimeTip.us .
