Hartford, Connecticut was first settled by the English in 1635 and incorporated in 1784. It is the capital city of the state of Connecticut and with a population of 124,512, Hartford ranks as Connecticut's second-largest city.

From the beginning of 2009 until December the 8th, SpotCrime has recorded 34 instances of shootings in Hartford, Connecticut.
