SpotCrime alerts sent have surpassed the 30 million mark!  Thank you for signing up for SpotCrime alerts and all of your feedback, it has helped us reach this stepping stone! Each email alert includes a map of crime and a list of crime details that have occurred around an address specified by a user.   Some alerts include a local sponsor ad, local news station logo and/or a highlighted news story. So, unless there is more than one person at an address signed up for an alert (i.e. apartment or business building), most of the 30 m alerts have all been unique - like a snowflake!  Not signed up for alerts?  Head to SpotCrime or MyLocalCrime to sign up!  Check out this blog post for a step by step process on how to sign up. SpotCrime is mapping crime in Will County, IL ! Will County is located in the south west portion of the of Chicago  metropolitan area, with it;s county seat residing in Joliet .  The population is about 502k and is one of the fastest growing counties in the US.  The Will County Sheriff's Office releases this crime information weekly to SpotCrime and SpotCrime maps it for free! Using the crime type search and keyword search, you can see that a number of the vandalism incidents involve windows.  To perform the search, check only the 'Vandalism' box and in the Keyword search bar enter 'window'. Vandalism in the past month involving windows Most of the windows were broken were rear windows of cars or front windows of a residence.  There's no reason given behind the vandalism (nothing was reported stolen or missing) so the best way to prevent these kinds of crimes from happening is community policing .   Save yourself and your neighbors from the inconvenience

Fulton County holds Atlanta - Georgia 's state capital.  The population is estimated at over 1 million residents!  The Atlanta metropolitan  area is the 9th largest metro area in the US.   The county is home to the headquarters of many businesses like Coca-Cola, UPS, Delta Airlines and Home Depot.  The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is located in the county and has been the busiest airport since 1988!
