Spooky Crimes Mapped on SpotCrime

The world of crime is definitely a strange one. SpotCrime has a couple of search capabilities . One of which is a keyword search through the entire SpotCrime database . We strongly encourage police agencies to include as many details as possible in the description with each crime incident provided to the public. A good description provides specific information behind a crime that is helpful to residents. For example, the description of a suspect, how a burglar gained entry, or what kind of weapon was used in an armed robbery. This kind of information makes it easier to prevent something similar from happening in the future. We used creepy Halloween words to search through our database and found some pretty offbeat and strange crimes. The Flint Serial Killer

White male. Late 20's-early 30's. 5'11"-6'2". 180 to 210 lbs. Light hair, prefers baseball caps. That is the description of the suspected 'Flint Serial Killer'. Below is a composite sketch released August 6 by Michigan State Police . The FBI has recently teamed up with Michigan State Police to try to piece together information to apprehend the suspect behind almost 2 dozen stabbings in Michigan , Virgina and Ohio . 5 of those stabbings were fatal. Here is a time line (aggregated from numerous websites) to get an idea of when and where the attacks have occurred. 1) May 24 -- Flint, MI Body of 31-year-old David Motley was found around 6 a.m. 2) June 21 -- Flint, MI Emmanuel Muhammed-59-was stabbed to death around 2 a.m. 3) June 26 -- Flint, MI Stabbing--42 yr old black male 4) July 4 -- Flint, MI Stabbing--20 yr old white male 5) July 12 -- Flint, MI in the suburb of Burton Stabbing--29 yr old black male 6) July 19 -- Flint, MI (Genesee Towns

The above map depicts the horrific killings in Gaffney and Cherokee County South Carolina. The shooter is being identified as a serial killer and has shot five and killed at least four people since last Saturday. 07/02/2009 - Shooting - 612 E Frederick S, Gaffney, NC The latest victims were found in their family's small furniture and appliance shop near downtown Gaffney around closing time Thursday. Stephen Tyler, 45, was killed, and his 15-year-old daughter was shot and seriously injured. Family members and a store employee found them in the Tyler Home Center. Gaffney Serial Killer 07/01/2009 - Shooting - 114 Buck Shoals Road, Cherokee County, NC The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office found two victims dead inside a house on 114 Buck Shoals Road at Highway 11, between Chesnee and Gaffney.
